Quick Start Guide

Get BeefyGuard up and running in your Telegram group in just a few minutes!

Step 1: Add the Bot to Your Group

  1. Open Telegram and go to your group
  2. Click on the group name to open group settings
  3. Tap "Add Members" or "Add Admins"
  4. Search for @beefyguard_bot
  5. Add the bot to your group

Step 2: Make the Bot an Admin

  1. In your group settings, go to "Administrators"
  2. Find @beefyguard_bot in the list
  3. Tap on it and enable admin permissions
  4. Grant the following permissions:
    • Delete messages
    • Ban users
    • Add new admins (optional, for admin sync)

Step 3: Get Your Group ID

  1. In the group, send the command: /groupinfo
  2. The bot will reply with your group information, including the Group ID
  3. Save this Group ID - you'll need it for the dashboard

Step 4: Access the Dashboard

  1. Send the command /dashboard in the group or in a private chat with the bot
  2. Click the link provided by the bot
  3. You'll be redirected to the web dashboard where you can configure all settings

Step 5: Configure Basic Settings

In the dashboard, you can:

  • Detection Settings: Configure how the bot detects impersonators
  • Announcements: Set up announcement forwarding from channels
  • Moderation: Enable anti-spam, anti-raid, and other moderation features
  • Filters: Set up word filters, link filters, and media restrictions
  • Members: Configure welcome/goodbye messages
  • Messages: Control service message behavior
