How to Access the Dashboard

Learn how to access the BeefyGuard web dashboard to manage your bot settings.

Quick Access Method

Step 1: Use Bot Command

  1. Open your Telegram group or start a private chat with @beefyguard_bot
  2. Send the command: /dashboard
  3. The bot will reply with a secure authentication link
  4. Click the link to open the dashboard

Step 2: Authenticate

  1. The dashboard will open in your browser
  2. You'll be automatically authenticated via Telegram
  3. No password needed - authentication is handled securely by Telegram

Requirements

To access the dashboard, you must:

  • Be an admin of the Telegram group
  • Have the bot added to your group
  • Have admin permissions in the group

Dashboard URL Format

The dashboard URL looks like:

https://beefyguard.com/dashboard?group_id=-1001234567890&hash=...

Important: The hash parameter is a secure authentication token that expires after 24 hours.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

"Authentication Failed" Error

Solution:

  1. Make sure you're an admin of the group
  2. Try the /dashboard command again to get a fresh link
  3. Make sure you're clicking the link from the same Telegram account

"Group Not Found" Error

Solution:

  1. Verify the bot is added to your group
  2. Check that you're using the correct Group ID
  3. Make sure the bot has admin permissions

Link Expired

Solution:

  1. Links expire after 24 hours for security
  2. Simply use /dashboard command again to get a new link
  3. The new link will be valid for another 24 hours

Can't See Dashboard

Solution:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try opening the link in a different browser
  3. Clear browser cache and try again
  4. Make sure JavaScript is enabled

Alternative Access Methods

Direct URL (If Provided)

If you have a direct dashboard URL from the bot owner:

  1. Visit the URL
  2. You'll see a Telegram login widget
  3. Click "Login with Telegram"
  4. Authorize the app
  5. You'll be redirected to the dashboard

From Bot Menu

  1. Use /menu command in the bot
  2. Look for "Dashboard" button
  3. Click to open dashboard

Security Notes

  • Dashboard links contain authentication tokens
  • Never share your dashboard link with others
  • Links expire after 24 hours automatically
  • Each link is unique to your Telegram account
